Welcome 2022

It is hard to believe that another year has flown by.
*Almost two years of working remotely
*Mom had stoke just after “lockdown” - 3/28/20
*A grandson who is 18 1/2 months old
     *Chickens in the backyard
     *And so on
Doing my best each day to keep my eyes on the Lord through all has been an anchor through some of the rough times.

They’re Here

Dad had been talking about chickens since last summer. We started the foundation of the chicken coop but soon realized it was a bigger project than anticipated. He hired someone to do the labor as he had the materials.  We still ended up doing quite a bit to make it fairly airtight.

The chicks are getting their feathers and growing so fast!

Blessings Today

What a day of blessings! I got to go to Costco and Winco with two of my favorite people ❤️ I have every other Wednesday off from my job and can’t think of a better way to spend them than with these two💕

Jumping Back In

Wow, I have no words to explain such a long absence!

Almost two years have past since my last post and many things have occurred since then, a few are:

     *living area finished

     *new job; same department

*covid invaded our world; lockdowns, work from home, isolation, slow to reopen and start living

     *mother had a stroke

     *parents cat passed away

     *new ‘family’ cat adopted

     *daughter had a baby (boy)

*just finishing a chicken coop and run

I have recently been told that my job will most likely be 90% permanently remote. Due to my mother having dementia (currently moderate), and my father turning 80 this year and moving slower, this change is beneficial for our family.

Stalled

As you may have noticed -- there was a break in the remodel.  Life continues to move forward even if we want it to slow down :~)

The bathroom and trim painting are left to finish.

I've been blessed to have this work done and am super excited to have my living quarters all 'gussied' up and usable.

More pictures will be loaded after the July 4th weekend.

We are on the last stretch for the kitchen!!  The baseboard, trim and crown moulding are chosen.  My sister and brother-in-law have started adding them.  I have a few pictures (including new hardware).

Continued Remodel Progress

Each week brings progress - sometimes a little and sometimes a lot :~)

Last weekend, the sink got installed and the lighting trim was added.

There is light at the end of the tunnel!!

Counters

Each week I see progress being made in my new space.  Last weekend, the counter-tops and cupboards were mounted.

I found out yesterday that the rest of my items that were ordered (sinks, faucets, toilet) have been delivered to Spokane and are ready for pick-up!!

Easter Weekend

Wow!  What a meaningful and productive weekend.

Good Friday service, Easter Service -- full of thanksgiving and praise!!

Carolyn and Matt were busy both Saturday and Sunday -- the transformation truly boggles my mind.  I am blessed with a Loving Father and supportive family.

Every week gets the project closer to being completed :~)

New Remodel Pics

I can not thank my sister and brother-in-law enough for their continued work on this remodel (really creating something new).  The drywall is done (except 1 sheet) and its on to mud/taping - woohoo!!

Each weekend brings the project closer to being realized :~)

Drywall Is Up

How blessed am I?  Thank you, Lord for bringing people together who are able to do remodeling of a varied kind.

My sister and brother-in-law are troopers – they worked a ½ day on Saturday and a full day on Sunday to get the drywall up (walls and ceiling).  I was tired just watching Matt attach the boards!

Thank The Lord

Each morning I wake and thank the Lord for His grace and mercy.  Each evening I thank the Lord for His grace and mercy.

He is unfailing in His love for each and every one of us.

Last weekend I had the privilege of watching my 28 year old daughter be baptized.  Before she was baptized, she was asked if she wanted to share anything.  Lo and behold ~ she gave her life to Christ a couple of weeks before.

As a parent, I wonder where I failed through the years of her upbringing.

As a Christian, I know that to have Christ as my Lord is a choice I have to make on my own.

Each morning I wake and thank the Lord for His grace and mercy.  Each evening I thank the Lord for His grace and mercy.

I cry for joy that my daughter and I will have eternity together.

I cry for despair that many of my loved ones (family and friends) haven't yet bowed down at the foot of our Lord.

I pray for the lost and unreached.  I pray for all of us as we go through trials and tribulations.  Knowing the Lord is always by my side encourages me as nothing else!

Each morning I wake and thank the Lord for His grace and mercy.  Each evening I thank the Lord for His grace and mercy.

Free Time = Income ?

I've been thinking about different things that I like to do with my 'free' time.  I enjoy crocheting, cross-stitch, card making/stamping, reading -- just to name a few.

That got me to thinking about earning money outside of my current employment.  Can I earn money by the simple things I craft?  What about reading?  OR even this blog.  I'm still pondering but wonder if anyone out there has any input.

I realize there aren't many people who actually read my blog so input from this venue may be a stretch -- I may add this as a FB post to see if I get any additional input.

Thanks for reading my ramblings of the day :~)

75TH Birthday

A great weekend was had by all as my dad celebrated his 75th birthday with his wife and four girls coming in to town as a surprise :-)

It was a time of fun, laughter, family, love, deep conversations, a bit of outlet mall shopping and food.

Winter Hasn't Left

The snow has arrived in Spokane.  Everyone was wondering why we were having such a mild winter.  Appears that ‘winter’ was on hold until now J

I can’t say enough about our bus system – a Shout Out to the men and women drivers, maintenance, and office personnel of STA (Spokane Transit Authority).  The roads have been a bit nasty the last few days and these folks are doing their utmost to provide excellent service.

I’m not a fan of driving in the inclement weather; however, walking and enjoying the peaceful, quietness of being outside with falling snow is awesome.  It is relaxing and beautiful – a wonderful reminder that God is the Creator of all.
